Little Surprises

Today was my birthday, I am another year older and apparently, am too old because I have two numbers in my age (Thank you to one of my students for reminding me of that last semester). It was my first day at work today and I was up at 6am (and it will be a five day work week for me this semester. Two jobs and full time school plus people. *makes O.o face but I’m up for the challenge).

So… at 4pm I got picked up for dinner. :)

It was really good appetizer. Calamari. =)

Dish one: Shrimp scampi in lobster sauce (oh my goodness, so yummy!)

Dish two was Mongolian Stir Fry (was kind of craving this Mongolian place called Kublai’s where I used to eat at a lot when I was in college and working so decided to try this dish. It was okay, fun to share.)

Desert was Blueberry and Apple crumble with walnuts. Yum! Wished the ice cream was more though. I like my peach version better, gotta make that to show the difference soon! ;P

This was the sunset on our drive to my house. :) Isn’t that beautiful?

This was my birthday surprise. A pot of tulips, a really cute and yummy cake, a candy apple (which I haven’t devoured, not much of a sweet tooth to be honest) and a card. :)

I can honestly say that every year, my birthdays just keep getting better and better! I have this weird side smile on my face while I’m typing.

Thank you to my parents because they bugged me really early to greet me, thank you to my relatives who dropped by or called. Thanks to my friends who greeted by text, call, twitter or facebook (it was awesome) and thank you God for giving me another day to just praise you.

And.. I am experiencing joyful anticipation of the things to come! :)
